Locale: Kyangwali, Uganda

The short documentary made for PSIPSE foundation, follows the work of Congolese refugee Ntakamaze Nziyonvira in Kyangwaly, one of the biggest resettlement camps in northern Uganda. After escaping from the DRC in 1998 Nziyonvira and his family resettled like many others in the camp. Since his arrival he has been pushing for integration working tirelessly to get refugee children to schools outside of Kyangwaly.

Locale: Adjumani resettlement camp, Uganda.

War Child Canada, in partnership with Ugandan government partners, is building the foundation for a validated accelerated education curriculum that could be rolled out across the country. The program condenses the first four of six years of secondary education into a two-year program, focusing on core subjects and skills to prepare them for life and additional education.

Kenya Union of the Blind established the first ever digital learning program for visually impaired students in public secondary schools in Kenya, engaging with key government partners so the existing secondary school curriculum can be adapted into a digital format for visually impaired learners.
